Lincoln Park, MI - Wow, what a difference a rink makes. The FNHC made its skating debut at the Lincoln Park Community Center ice arena this past Friday night. And a delightful debut it was. "Look Mo, automatic flushers!," hollered Slava as Iron Orr entered the locker room. "Yeah, and automatic doors when you walk in the rink," replied the veteran FNHC defenseman. The first impressions were tremendous and only made better by remembering the rundown state of our previous (but much-loved) facility.

The teams exited their respective locker rooms, and headed for the ice already feeling better about the prospects for some enjoyable hockey. Batman was the first skater on the ice and noticed a vast quality improvement in that most important area as well. "Check it out boys, hard ice. No ruts, no gaps around the edges, just good, solid ice!" he exclaimed. "Much better lighting too," noted Domi. "Hey, look over here," the injured Tool Time called from behind the bench, "I can operate the scoreboard from right here!"

"Let's GO!" the Commissioner's voice resounded through the arena. And with that, the FNHC embarked on a new era of hockey at the Lincoln Park Community Center.
